Heritage Week, Forest School Event
A very big thank you to Lucy and Georgina from GrowingWild.ie for running our Heritage Week, Forest School Event in the Village Centre garden today. All the kids had a wonderful time identifying insects, making prints from the the flowers they found, making clay pots and generally getting to explore the garden in the way that children do. They all ambled out of the session when it ended with big smiles on their faces, looking very chilled out and happy. It was great to watch.
Another big thank you is deserved by the crew at Arthurs Coffee House for facilitating us boring grown ups and our coffee and tea drinking habits during the event. The good weather and serendipitous timing of one of the inaugural meetings of the Senior Citizens Club at the centre too, made for a very pleasant afternoon of chatting and catch ups with neighbours.
And of course, thank you to Meabh for arranging the event on behalf of the biodiversity group!
