Paddy Madden, who has been bringing regular tastes of Ardclough’s local wildlife to our ‘Notice Nature in‘ series, will be running his popular organic gardening course – “Gardening with the Earth” this September and October. The course will run on Wednesday’s from Ardclough Village Centre and finishes with a guided walk of the National Botanic Gardens in Dublin.
Organic gardening and farming can have many benefits. Along with sustainability and reducing concerns about pesticides in foods, switching to organic approaches really helps some of our natural plant and animal life to recover – in particular our insects and other invertebrates and those species that depend closely upon them like our birds, bats, frogs, hedgehogs and more.
