Hedgerows.ie is an organisation working to build awareness of the importance of healthy hedgerows and to promote best practice in managing and rejuvenating them.

On Saturday 18th May 2024, as part of Biodiversity Week 2024, they will be hosting two hedgerow walks at a location very convenient to Ardclough.  The walks will be on a local farm where they will be able to show and talk about some great examples of healthy hedgerows, and the benefits to wildlife and our environment that thy provide.  They will also be showing examples of hedge laying and how hedge laying can be incorporated into farm management.  Each walk runs for about 2 hours.

These walks are free to attend, but they are of course, also very popular and so you must register beforehand.
